if you have a search through my list of posts on here mate you will know how serious i am in tuning the ST, fair play im no expert but i retain info like a sponge! lol, The problem with big power output is not just the heat increase, the extra load WILL bring extra stress to parts, torque output is a massive factor in engine life, if your running big bhp and low torque then you might aswell not bother, if you want to run good torque levels also (which i hope you do) then a bottom end rebuild is advised, if you choose not to do this and it holds together then fair play.

Here are the facts, unless someone would like to prove otherwise :-

- No UK tuner has produced a 400bhp ST engine.
- No UK tuner knows the limit of the standard bottom end.
- No UK tuner knows at what points valve float will occur (Does that expensive CNC Heads head come with uprated valve springs? I think not? Good value?)
- No UK tuner has live-mapping abilities on the Bosch ME9 ECU, and you're a braver man than me if you think you can offline map a 400+ bhp engine (and it survive).
