Hi everyone,
I did speak to Lenin about possibly purchasing a larger turbo conversion today and I was not aware that it would be announced here. Modifying cars is my hobby. Yes, sometimes you do pay for the price of pushing the envelop. Focus ST is a nice car, I am not trying to proof anything beyond than what it is. I driven cars with 600+WHP before and I know what ST is and what ST will always be.
Anyway, back to the topic. I welcome any realistic and constructive opinions about this turbo conversion. If anything, we should show our appreciation for these tuners who work so hard. All I have to say is ST owners are pretty lucky to have so many choices and selections around. Volvo owners on the other hand.... well... aren't so lucky.
And for those that seek for a big turbo conversion that works "well" and dont have any problem, my honest suggestion is DON’T BUY IT!
To dispel all the rumors around.. here is the post from one of the few owners who actually "own" this turbo kit.
--------------
The software calibration for the Pumaspeed uprated turbo conversion has been done by Dreamscience HQ in Hull. ...............have had no issues, the car pulls strong to 7000rpm. There are no ESP problems associated with the saturated MAF. There are no "Limp" problems. The software calibration is amazingly smooth and power is very linear, on the numerous Dyno runs I did at Dreamscience in varying conditions the lowest torque figure I saw was 520NM when the car was hot, and 550NM was the highest seen..................The generic maps are very high quality and I'm sure you will be impressed, I have been in a Wolf 330 and the Dreamscience/Pumaspeed conversion is more powerfull and smoother. I met a friend wityh a Wolf 330 for a comparison meeting, however, the wolf 330 blew the valve stem oil seals and the exhaust bolts in the turbo housing sheared. The Wolf 330 runs at 1.45 Bar of boost to make the power, the Pumaspeed car runs at 1.2 Bar, this means it can run cooler and puts less stress on components making it very safe.

Just my 2 cents on this subject.
Cheers
Howard
