Anyone hitting limp in Race+ should flash back to stock, disconnect the battery for about an hour and press the hazard lights while disconnected to discharge all memory. The reason for this is Race+ as the name goes makes so much more power the pcm sets a point after learning for a cumulative time of 5 seconds where limp will kick in and after this it's easier to hit limp protection mode. By removing the battery terminal as stated above all learned values are removed and the limp set point is re-set. After this if your pcm detects you are in an out of tollerance position for an accumulation of 5 seconds it will set a limp point again.
This is why some people go for months and then hit limp mode, it may have learned 1/2 a second values today, nothing tomorrow, 1 second next week etc until a total of 5 seconds and then limp protection kicks in.
We are working on a Race+ map with our dealers that removes limp completely but this will be at the customers own risk and discression as there will be no protection built in to the tune and would effectively go that little bit further.
